I Just Doo Eyes

Another unusual and experimental track written by Richard using the recently purchased (at the time) studio keyboard, the Korg PA1X-Pro.

The use of a sampled voice from a certain “cult film” was me just playing around with idea from a project I had done some 10 years previously.

I liked the guitar work on the keyboard using the Korg and I recall, after I had finished the track,  I felt it reminded me of that old detective series on the TV “Shoestring” – what do you think?

Alma

Written and produced by Kent in 2004, this was a larger music project than usual and has overtones or potential for being the next James Bond theme we think.

A really welll thought out, complex and big film type track which is a direction Kent certainly aspires to.

As this was produced a few years back now and not meant at the time for broadcast.  Alma contains some mastering issues, but the basic structure of the track is good and might even be marked for a make-over by Kent, using current equipment, tools and techniques…if you like the track then ask him!

Also, this piece of music demonstrates an area that Kent is particularly strong in; melodic orchestral/synth pad type harmonies that keep the music moving and easy to engage for the listener.  Again, that almost trade-mark “cross-mod” Kurzweil synth lead comes in again at the end of the track providing a great contrast to the strings, and we think, works perfectly although this version finishes a tad abruptly (sorry).

A Winters Morn

A short classical type piece written by Richard in possibly a melancholy mood during April 2004.

This was an attempt at producing something more traditional using just oboe, piano and strings, thus proving perhaps that less is more.
